Is Bolt down?
Bolt's official status page is reporting degraded performance ("Some systems experiencing issues"). Our independent checks can still reach Bolt, so some surfaces may still work.
Boltdown detector & server status
Is Bolt down or not working right now? This live Bolt down detector combines StackBlitz's official status feed, our own independent checks, and first-party user reports — and shows whether it's the BoltAPI, the app, or a specific capability that's affected, plus the upstream AI provider it depends on. Use it to tell whether Boltis having an outage today, and whether it's down for everyone or just you.
Crowd signal — your reports, not our automated checks.
How we know
We combine independent signals into one verdict. Here's what each source is reporting right now.

●Normal speedIs it slower than its own normal? A status page won't tell you — we measure it.

- Slowest
- 3,312 ms
13,230reachable checks. The line plots the median of each interval, so one timeout can't spike it, and we lead with the median rather than an average, which a single slow response would skew. Failed checks are excluded: a timeout is not a response time.
Responding normally (~195 ms typical).
Uptime & history
Tracking since Jun 22, 2026% of our checks that found Bolt fully operational — a degraded check counts against it, because a slow or partly-broken service is not a working one. Down and degraded time are counted at our 5-minute check resolution, so both are approximate. Longer windows fill in as data accrues — we never show uptime we haven't measured.

What this page can and can't tell you
- How we decide. We combine StackBlitz's official status feed, our own independent check from US East (Virginia), and first-party reports from readers. The confidence badge shows how many of those signals agree.
- On root cause. We have no visibility inside StackBlitz's systems. When our dependency graph points upstream, at Anthropic, we say so. Otherwise we report what the signals show rather than guessing at an internal cause.
- Outages are rarely all-or-nothing. Some are regional. Some hit one surface while the rest works, so the Bolt API can fail while the app is fine. The capability panel breaks it down.
- Green doesn't mean everyone. If our check reaches Boltbut you can't, the problem is more likely local: your network, a VPN, browser extensions, or cache.
Frequently asked
Is Bolt down right now?+
Right now, Bolt appears to be degraded — some users may see errors or slowness. Bolt's official status page is reporting degraded performance ("Some systems experiencing issues"). Our independent checks can still reach Bolt, so some surfaces may still work.
Is there a Bolt down detector?+
Yes — this page is a live Bolt down detector. It combines Bolt's official status feed, our own independent reachability check, first-party user reports, and the AI dependency graph, then shows a confidence level so you can tell a real outage from a local glitch. Bolt is currently degraded. We only show signals we can actually verify — never invented report totals.
Is there a Bolt outage today?+
Bolt appears to be degraded right now. Bolt's official status page is reporting degraded performance ("Some systems experiencing issues"). Our independent checks can still reach Bolt, so some surfaces may still work. See the live signals above and the incident history below for the timeline.
What is Bolt's server status and API status right now?+
Bolt is currently degraded. Server status and API status aren't always the same — the Bolt API can fail while the web app works, or vice-versa. The capability panel on this page breaks status down by surface (API, app, and any image/voice features) so you can see exactly which part is affected. Bolt depends on Anthropic, so an incident there can cascade to Bolt and other AI tools at the same time.
Is the Bolt API down? (StackBlitz API status)+
Check the API row in the capability panel above — Bolt is currently degraded overall, but the API can carry its own status. For developers, "StackBlitz API status" problems usually surface here first, because we read StackBlitz's own status feed and watch the API surface directly. Bolt depends on Anthropic, so an incident there can cascade to Bolt and other AI tools at the same time.
Why is Bolt slow or not working?+
Common causes are an upstream provider incident, API rate limits during peak demand, a regional CDN issue, or maintenance. Bolt is currently degraded. We show the official status, our independent check, and a confidence level so you can see which signals point to a real problem. Bolt depends on Anthropic, so an incident there can cascade to Bolt and other AI tools at the same time.
Is Bolt down for everyone or just me?+
We check Bolt from our own servers, independent of your device or network, and combine that with StackBlitz's official feed and user reports. If our independent check reaches Bolt but you can't, the problem is most likely local — try a different network, disable a VPN/extensions, or clear your cache. If our check and the official status both show problems, Bolt is down for everyone.
How can I tell if it's Bolt or my own connection?+
AIDownCheck runs an independent reachability check from our own servers, separate from Bolt's official status page. If our check passes but you still can't connect, the problem is more likely local — try a different network, clear your cookies, disable VPN/extensions, or use a different browser. If our check is failing too, it's more likely Bolt's side.
What can I use while Bolt is down?+
Good alternatives include Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT. We track their live status too, so you can switch to one that's currently operational.
Where is Bolt's official status page?+
Bolt's official status page is at https://status.bolt.new. AIDownCheck reads it automatically and combines it with our own checks — so you get the answer without juggling tabs.

@boltdotnewWe've identified and are working on a fix for the issue where publishing can hang on "Publishing your site, this will just take a moment…" and never finish. This is intermittent and affects individual projects, so your other projects may publish normally. In the meantime, if a publish gets stuck, refresh the page and click Publish again straight away. That should publish your website in most cases.
